Some freeze dried food and a qt size freezer bag and you're good to go. They fold up tiny, weigh nothing and keep you from packing out fifteen empty freeze dried food bags
Worked great!! Put my meal in it to “cook” while I did other things and when I sat down to eat- it was still really hot and well cooked!
I have been using this bags for about 2 years. I have 4 of them. It maintain the cold and also keeps my dinner warm when backpacking.
I’ve been testing this out in my kitchen and it’s going to be great for my upcoming backpacking trips. Because it’s soft, it’s easy to put a couple of freezer sized quart bags in at the same time like when I want to rehydrate some freeze dried veggies to go with my meal. It will also be easy to squash into my bear can. The 1oz weight is nothing. I can’t wait to use this on the trail!
Lightweight, stable, works for hot meals and cool drinks:-)
Please explain what "no retail packaging" means.........1 piece, "bulk pack".......I assume this means purchasing one bag from a bulk pack and therefore it arrives without the cardboard Big Sky wrapping?
"bulk pack" means no retail box
Can I take my pot off the flame and put it in this pouch to let the food continue cooking?
This will probably melt the Insulite pouch fabric..
